This publication explores war through the lens of a story of a destroyed house by a Russian missile in Chernihiv, Ukraine. Elena Krupko and her family lost everything to the Russian strike, but they managed to find the strength to rebuild their home from the ashes of their past. This publication is a way of paying tribute to those who have lost where they belonged to Russian aggression and, despite the odds, continue to move on with their lives, restore their homes and stay hopeful. I made this publication using a variety of printing methods such as offset lithography (2 colour and CMYK), risograph and screenprinting. Each section of this book is designed according to the machine’s specifics, adjusting the colour, layout and typography every time. Each book is hand-bound with a foldout poster in the front pocket of the book. Additionally, a Ukrainian transcript of the interview is available upon demand.
